We have decades of experience working to successfully plan, design and construct Commercial, Industrial, Governmental and Residential Development utility infrastructure projects for Electrical Utility Customers in Michigan, Chicago and Northern Illinois. Our team utilizes our deep understanding of internal utility business operations and utility leadership, combined with the leading Project Management tools to professionally plan, schedule and execute all of the project milestones necessary for Client business success.
OUR HISTORY
Utility Interface Management originated from the vision of its founder, Kevin Tease, a successful former utility executive and Project Management expert with extensive Utility Construction, Project Management, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Contracting and Competitive Business Operations experience in Commercial, Industrial, Residential Development and Public Authority markets. His vision for Advanced Utility Interface Management is to provide industry-leading Project Management and Consulting services that adds significant value for our clients while building lasting partnerships. We listen closely to what our clients need for their business project to succeed and then work professionally on every utility task and milestone to achieve consistent, measurable project success.
INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE
Kevin Tease is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP)® who has project managed thousands of utility installation projects with many of the largest investor-owned and municipal utilities in the Midwest and Northeast. The Advanced Utility Interface Management team has extensive Project Management expertise delivering complex electrical utility distribution, joint utility installation (electric, natural gas, telephone & data/CATV), energy efficient lighting and telecommunication projects across dozens of states in the Midwest and Northeast.

Kevin Tease is the President and founder of Advanced Utility Interface Management. He focuses on delivering exceptional value and world-leading performance to customers in the United States and Canada.
Kevin founded Advanced Utility Interface Management in 2018 after working in the electrical utility, electrical contracting and telecom industry. With Exelon, as the founding Director of Exelon Lighting Solutions, he led a team of project managers, engineers, account executives and skilled labor that designed and installed cost-effective integrated lighting solutions and energy-efficient electrical projects in commercial, industrial, governmental, military and educational buildings and campuses across the Midwest. Kevin is highly experienced in electric and gas utility operations, T&D utility project management, AI automation, AMI/AMR, data analytics, distributed energy resources, renewable energy, distribution automation devices, smart grid planning, microgrids, communication networks, wireless infrastructure and electric energy management.
As Senior Manager, Electric Operations for Consumers Energy he led a highly successful team of union Electrical Linemen, Supervisors and Managers across five Consumers Energy Service Centers. He was responsible for completion of all electric distribution projects for commercial, industrial and residential customers across one sixth of the Consumers Energy footprint, including Jackson, Michigan, corporate home of CMS Energy.
As a New Business Manager for ComEd he was responsible for leading an award-winning team of project managers, utility representatives and engineers who designed and project-managed large distribution infrastructure construction projects on Customer sites to serve new and existing ComEd customers in commercial, industrial, public authority and residential markets.
As a Utility Performance Assessment Manager for Exelon Utilities, he managed strategic business planning initiatives for ComEd, Philadelphia Electric Company (PECO), Baltimore Gas Electric (BGE), Pepco, Delmarva Power & Atlantic City Electric.
As Director of Utility for Mobilitie, the largest privately held wireless infrastructure company in the United States at the time, he successfully led utility operations across the Midwest and Northeast, partnering with the largest investor-owned utilities in the nation to project manage electrical service and utility coordination.
Kevin earned his MBA from the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business at DePaul University in Chicago. He also holds a BA degree in Business Administration. Kevin is a Project Management Professional (PMP)®.
